ACT police have seized hydroponically grown cannabis while executing a search warrant at a Charnwood residence on Monday.

Police allegedly found six mature cannabis plants and two large bags of plant matter suspected to be cannabis.

The estimated street value of the cannabis is more than $130,000.

The search warrants for the property and a vehicle were provided due to ACT police investigating a man on other matters.

The search warrant also found evidence relating to that separate investigation.

Police said the man suspected of cultivating the cannabis was already in custody.

He is expected to face additional drug charges at his next court appearance.

Anyone with information about illegal drug cultivation or supply can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
