An "elaborate and sophisticated" grow house containing more than 200 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of half-a-million dollars has been found and dismantled by ACT police.
The discovery was made during a search of a home in Dunlop in Canberra's north on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the search was part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime and that the grow house may have been operating for "a long time".
"Upon entering we discovered quite an elaborate and well organised cannabis grow house," ACT Policing Detective Inspector Marcus Boorman said.
"We are still processing the scene, but we estimate in excess of 200 plants and technical equipment has been seized.
Officers were seen outside the home collecting evidence and packing dozens of cannabis plants into plastic bags before placing them into a truck.
Police linked the bust to 43 kilograms of cannabis seized at a home in Yarralumla and $150,000 in cash found at a home in Palmerston in Canberra's north last month.

Detective Inspector Boorman said the discovery had "left a dint" in the crime group's operation but would not reveal whether the group was linked to outlaw motorcycle gangs.
"It's hard to estimate how long it was running but with the set up and what we found, I would estimate a considerable amount of time.
"I think our activities today and in the last month have put a significant dint in the illegal distribution of cannabis in the ACT."
Officers are yet to make arrests but say they are in the process of tracking down the home owner.
The cannabis plants will be destroyed.
