Act of kindness instantly repaid when woman let man jump queue at till

A woman who let a shopper jump in front of her in the queue at Aldi was shocked to find he instantly repaid her kindness - and she decided to pay it forward.

The woman was queuing at Aldi on Monday afternoon with a trolley full of goods when she spotted a man who had just two items to pay for, reports The Echo.

She let the young man go ahead of her at the till, and when he had finished paying he handed the cashier an extra £5 towards the woman's shopping.

Despite her protests he refused to take it back.

The woman's Facebook post read: "I would like to say a big thank you to a lovely young man who was behind me at the till in Aldi Clockface at around 1pm.

"He only had two items so I said to go in front of me. He gave the cashier £5 and said to put it towards my shopping, he refused to take it back.

"What a kind and very generous act to do. There are beautiful people out there.

"I have kept the kindness going and put it in the charity box at the till. Thank you again."

One person replied: "Just shows you that there are some lovely kids/teenagers out there. We get so used to hearing about the bad ones. Well done young man."

Another said: "What a lovely thing to do, so thoughtful."

A third commented: "Wonderful young man."

While someone else added: "So sweet! Lovely."
