ACT COVID-19 exposure sites pass 40 as new locations identified in Woden

ACT COVID-19 exposure sites have spread to Woden, with more than 40 locations now listed across Canberra.

The ACT recorded two new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, taking the total number of active cases in the capital to nine.

New close contact exposure sites published today include the Lennock Jaguar Land Rover car dealership and the Club Lime at Bonner House in Phillip.

Additional locations considered to be casual contact exposure sites include Coles at Amaroo, the Abode Hotel in Kingston, the Southern Cross Club Stadium in Greenway, and the Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School in Nicholls.

"We are seeing venues in the Woden area impacted, so if you live or work in these areas it's now important to check to see if you've been to an affected location," ACT Chief Health Officer Kerryn Coleman said.  

One of today's new positive cases has been linked to the Fiction nightclub and Dr Coleman said it demonstrated "a possible transmission in an exposure site". 

She urged all close or casual contacts to "take this seriously" and follow all ACT Health advice.
