A private dental practice in Birmingham has expanded after securing a new funding deal.
Acorn Dental, which was established in Moseley more than 50 years ago, has bought a second practice in Barnt Green with help from a £700,000 funding package from Lloyds Bank.
The dental centre has two patient rooms and will enable the business to service a total of 10,000 patients including 3,000 patients at its new base in Hewell Road.
The funding from Lloyds Bank has also enabled Dipesh Parmar to buy into the Acorn Dental Group, meaning the practice is now owned by Mr Parmar alongside his brother Manoj.
Acorn Dental plans to hire six members of staff to work in its Barnt Green branch which will undergo a programme of renovation and extension with the aim of doubling capacity over the next 18 months.
Dipesh Parmar said: "We've experienced steady growth over the past five years. This is largely due to word of mouth, with people coming to us following recommendations from family and friends.
"We're expanding to a second practice to meet this demand. It's been an ambition of mine for several years to buy into the family dentist business and, with the expansion, now seemed like the perfect time."
