‘Achieve immortality’: Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping want to live forever with a sinister new plan

In a startling revelation that sounds more like something out of a science fiction movie than a real-life conversation between world leaders, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were reportedly overheard discussing a plan to live to 150 years old, and possibly even achieve “immortality.” This isn’t just a rumor—audio was apparently picked up on CCTV, capturing the private conversation that took place on the sidelines of a Victory Day parade in Beijing.

The conversation, as translated, began with Xi Jinping noting how people are living longer. “Earlier, people rarely lived to 70, but these days at 70 you are still a child,” Xi said to Putin, according to a Russian translator. Putin then reportedly responded, “With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality.”

It’s a truly chilling statement, especially when you consider the next line from Xi: “Predictions are, this century, there is also a chance of living to 150.” This exchange sheds a fascinating and, frankly, terrifying light on the ambitions of these two powerful figures.

Both leaders are currently 72 years old, and their conversation suggests a deep-seated interest in extending their lives through advanced medical procedures. While organ transplants might sound like a simple, modern medical procedure, they become much more sinister when you consider China’s history with the practice. Hollywood has a similar idea, and even Halle Berry spoke up about how terrible it can be if abused.

According to Politico, the country officially banned organ harvesting from executed prisoners in 2015, but it’s been reported that the government has since turned to targeted minorities for organs, including the Uyghur people, who are facing repression. This adds a dark layer to the idea of continuously transplanted organs and makes you wonder just how far they would be willing to go to achieve their goal of extended life.

While the idea of living to 150 might seem far-fetched, it’s not the first time we’ve heard about these kinds of ambitions. Just last year, reports surfaced that Kremlin officials had directed scientists to fast-track anti-aging research, focusing on things like cellular degeneration, cognitive decline, and boosting the immune system.

This all seems to be part of a larger, long-term plan. For them to be caught talking about it so openly (or at least, as openly as a private conversation between two world leaders can be) shows that this isn’t just a fleeting thought.
