FAQs

Does Acer offer free shipping?

Unfortunately, no—most items are covered under a $10 flat rate for standard shipping or a $30 rate for expedited shipping. There may be some exceptions to these (including one-off Acer promo codes), but generally speaking, you'll have to pay a small charge for delivery via Acer. Note that ground shipping takes 3 to 7 business days, while expedited shipping takes 1 to 2 business days.

Is there an Acer Black Friday sale?

Yes, the Acer Black Friday sale has begun, with deals taking up to 50% off the price of selected devices. We expect these deals to continue through into Black Friday (November 28th), on through Cyber Monday (December 1st), and towards Christmas. As new deals go live, we'll be updating this page accordingly.

Can I read an Acer review?

At TechRadar, we've tried and tested many of Acer's flagship models, including general use laptops, monitors, PCs and laptop models suited for gaming. We've compiled a list of some of our reviews of Acer's flagship models below:

What is Acer's return policy?

Acer has a standard return policy of 15 days for most of its hardware products (including laptops). Unfortunately, shipping will not be refunded, and you'll also have to get a unique RMA number by contacting Acer customer support (see above) before you return the product.

Note that products purchased at a value of $2,999.99 to $4,999.99 will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, while items of $4,999.99 and above in value will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. All returned products will also need all original packaging and any associated manuals.

Acer Saving tips

Wait for promotional sales

This is a general tip but applies to Acer discount codes. If you can, waiting until a big retail event like Black Friday to do your shopping is a great idea. These events are usually where the best deals and coupon codes are concentrated, and you can usually get the biggest savings if you wait. Obviously, Black Friday is the biggest retail calendar event, but you'll also likely find seasonal sales around other holidays like Presidents' Day, Labor Day, and Memorial Day.

Shop last chance

In addition to the main sales section, Acer has a last chance section offering limited-time-only discounts on outgoing models. Clearance can have a bit of a bad rep, but don't be put off by this tip, as you'll find plenty of good models, including some relatively new machines, offered at up to 50% off.

Get a student discount

Are you a student with a Student Beans account? You can sign up and prove your eligibility to get a full 15% discount sitewide at Acer—one of the best promotions you'll find at the official store.

Get a military or professional discount

As a thanks for their service, current or past members of the military can get 5 - 10% off items across the Acer range when they verify their status with a valid WeSalute+ ID card. This offer is also available to nurses, first responders, teachers, government employees and medical staff.

Join the newsletter

You can keep up with the latest news from Acer by signing up for the email mailing list free through the brand's site. Just provide your chosen email address and you'll receive info on products & promotions direct to your inbox as soon as its available.

How we source coupon codes

Whether it's through our affiliate networks, the depths of the world wide web, or our connections with big name brands, here at TechRadar we use every tool at our disposal to source the latest codes. Our coupons team updates each of our pages multiple times a week with the most recent deals, including exclusive coupons negotiated by our Commercial team. We also include the latest sales info directly from retailers to offer the most up-to-date discounts around.

How we test coupon codes

Each coupon you find on TechRadar has been tested before being uploaded by our dedicated Deals & Offers teams. You’ll see a range of offers, from free shipping to student discounts, with savings available on all kinds of products & services. To make sure every coupon is ready to use, we don’t list any user-specific or one-time codes.

We also include all relevant information about coupons, such as expiry dates and any terms & conditions, near the ‘Get Code’ button. You can see the details for an individual offer by clicking on the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text below the code and expanding the code area.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

Although we do our best to ensure all listed codes are tried & tested, sometimes coupons expire or terms & conditions are changed before we can update pages. Our team works hard to make sure our coupons are active and work as intended, and should you encounter an issue when using one, we’ll work just as hard to help.

The best place to start is by checking the requirements. Click “View terms and conditions” to expand the code section and see any guidance on your chosen coupon. For example, you may need to meet a minimum spend, add other items to your basket to qualify for a multibuy offer, or confirm that your chosen code applies to the items in your basket (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If you’re still having issues using your code, you can email our customer service team on coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Include as many details as possible - such as which code you used and which coupon page it’s listed on so our team can address your issue as fast as possible.

How we make money

When it comes to coupons, TechRadar earns money via a commission-based model. For every brand we have a coupon page for, we’ve negotiated a deal that means we earn a percentage of total basket value in commission back from every order.

Using this model means we can offer our coupons to our customers free of charge. You won’t pay any fees to add your chosen coupon to your basket - you’ll simply pay the final order total once your discount has been applied.
