ORLANDO, Fla. _ The man accused of plotting to kidnap singer Lana Del Rey from her performance at Amway Center in Orlando chanted during a police interview and said he planned to go to the "afterlife."
Michael Shawn Hunt, 43, was armed with a 3-inch-blade folding knife and had a concert ticket when he was arrested near the arena Friday night, according to an Orlando police report.
Hunt chanted gibberish during an interview with a detective at the Orlando Police Department headquarters and spoke of putting something inside himself and the officer.
"The interview with Hunt was very disturbing," the detective wrote.
Police were alerted to Hunt's Facebook posts, in which he professed love to the singer and published plans to travel from Brandon to Orlando to be with Del Rey, according to the arrest report.
"Well folks I can barely touch the electronics anymore it's probably my last day on Facebook. I hope to see y'all on the walk about in your life be good and Ill see you on the other side everybody ... " the post read.
Hunt admitted to writing the message, according to the arrest report.
"Our Queen Forever in both Worlds xoxo I love you so much Lana I can't wait to be back in your arms in a few days baby," the post read. "I hear you singing baby I miss you baby I miss you so much Lana. I won't need them everybody in the entire Coliseum will know who I am when I get there."
The arrest report indicated Del Rey, whose real name is Elizabeth Grant, was aware of the posts and was fearful.
"Due to the statements posted by Hunt, victim Elizabeth Grant was in fear for her safety," the report states.
Hunt told an Orange County judge Sunday, during his first court appearance, that he did not intend to hurt the singer.
Hunt has been convicted of 61 felonies ranging from drug to violent crimes, according to the report. He is being held in the Orange County Jail without bond. He is charged with two felonies: attempted kidnapping with a weapon and aggravated stalking with a credible threat.
