A Sydney man police have identified as a high-risk offender has been charged with domestic violence-related offences.
Earlier this year the NSW Police Force established Operation Amarok to crack down on dangerous perpetrators of domestic and family violence.
Police say a 45-year-old man was arrested during a raid at an Auburn home in Sydney's west just before 7am on Wednesday.
He is accused of predatory behaviour and domestic violence-related offences by a woman known to him.
During the raid police seized a crystal-like rock, believed to be methylamphetamine, and buprenorphine.
He has been charged with a range of offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalking, breaching an AVO and drug possession.
The man was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court later on Thursday.
