Accused cop killer in request for documents: 'I am master of my own guise'

ORLANDO, Fla. _ Accused cop killer Markeith Loyd wrote a letter to the judge in his case asking for all documents, saying he is the "master of his own guise."

The Dec. 15 handwritten letter on notebook paper requested transcripts from his March and December court appearances.

"Also I would like a copy of every motion that (defense) attorney Roger Weeden has filed in and on my case," he wrote. " ... I don't trust the system nor its attorneys so if any defense go (sic) file things in my name without me knowing (go) find themselves jumped on."

Loyd has been defiant throughout the legal process, including cursing at judges and refusing to attend court hearings.

He's accused of gunning down Sade Dixon, his pregnant ex-girlfriend, in December 2016 and Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton the next month while she was trying to arrest him.
