Pro Football Focus compiled a list of the highest-graded players against each individual team – and to no one’s surprise – the highest performing player against the Seahawks in the PFF era has been Rams defensive end Aaron Donald.
Donald’s dominance wasn’t just against the Seahawks, as he was actually the highest-graded opponent against both the 49ers (92.9 grade) and the Cardinals (92.5), taking a clean sweep of the NFC West.
He is his best against the Seahawks however, posting a stellar 94.8 grade – which PFF attributes to Seattle’s poor offensive line over the last few seasons.
“Donald has amassed a monstrous 28 quarterback hits and sacks against the Seahawks over his career,” Ben Linsey, the author of the article, wrote. “Looking at a wider picture, he’s picked up 61 quarterback pressures on 308 pass-rushing snaps. Those 61 pressures fall second to only Chris Long.”
Donald and the Rams will face the Seahawks twice next season, once at CenturyLink Field on October 3 and again in Los Angeles on December 8.
