Acclaimed chef comes to Bangkok

Hokkaido king crab with fennel emulsion, Amalfi lemon and Oscietra caviar.

For two nights, starting this evening, executive chef Antimo Merone of Macao's Michelin-starred restaurant 8½ Otto Mezzo Bombana is to showcase his star-studded cuisine to epicures in Bangkok.

As a part of S Pellegrino's Fine Dining Lover Guest Chef series, Merone, who for the past three years has worked alongside the highly-acclaimed chef-owner Umberto Bombana, will take over the kitchen of Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit's Italian restaurant Rossini's.

Merone's dexterously-crafted six-course set menu is available for dinner on Nov 3 and 4, and priced at 5,200 baht per person.

Representing his culinary perfection are dishes such as Hokkaido king crab with fennel emulsion, Amalfi lemon and Oscietra caviar; confit toothfish with zolfino beans, blue mussels and parsley; tortellini with veal ragout and Alba white truffle; handcrafted cavatelli and Sicilian red prawn; and nine-marbling score sirloin with charred artichoke and natural jus.

For more information or reservations, call Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit at 02-649-8364.
