Accies seal striker's return as they strengthen squad

Hamilton Accies have brought striker Andy Ryan back to the club for a second spell, after agreeing a deal with Stirling Albion.

Ryan, 26, has signed a two-year deal with the club, having left in 2015.

The striker, who had two spells at Airdrie and was at Dunfermline Athletic for three years, is a product of the club's academy, and helped earn promotion to the Premiership via the play-offs in 2014.

He scored 10 goals in 17 appearances for Stirling in League Two last term.

Ryan told the club's website: "I'm pleased to get the move done, coming back there are a few familiar faces, from my first spell.

"I know the club and the expectations that come when playing for the club very well.

"I loved every minute of my time with Stirling and would like to wish them well in the future."

Boss Brian Rice said: "We are thrilled to have Andy back with us.

"He is a player with a lot of lower-league experience, which can benefit us.

"I think to hit double figures in a stop-start campaign is testament to the talent of the player, and we look forward to seeing the quality he will add to the squad."
