Accenture to relocate north west 'hub' to Bruntwood's Circle Square development

Accenture has announced it is to relocate its north west operations to a “hub” based at Circle Square in central Manchester.

The global professional services firm was previously based at Kingsley Hall near Manchester Airport, where it has been for 25 years, but has moved into Manchester Technology Centre on an interim basis ahead of the move.

Accenture, which has had a presence in Manchester for 30 years, said it will take 5,000 sq ft at Bruntwood Sci Tech’s No.2 Circle Square later this year.

Around 500 employees will be “aligned” to the new hub, it said.

Christopher Gray, Accenture north west managing director, said: “Accenture works with clients across the UK and the north west on supporting their innovation and transformation journeys.

“By relocating to Circle Square, we will be better able to connect to our clients, as well as collaborate as part of Manchester’s ever-growing ecosystem of technology start-ups and major players.”

He continued: “Accenture’s expertise in digital transformation, cyber security and Industry 4.0 are particularly relevant to the north west economy and our new location provides the opportunity to better showcase these to our clients.

“The north west is a region of growth and working with Bruntwood SciTech has given Accenture the support we need as our office space and our community grows.”

Bruntwood Sci Tech said Accenture’s “desire to establish partnerships and collaborations with its neighbours” is “truly exciting”.

Matt Lee, head of commercial for Bruntwood SciTech, said: “Accenture are a perfect complement to the rapidly growing tech-cluster at Circle Square.

“The new neighbourhood will open its doors later this year at the heart of Manchester’s thriving innovation district, home to every size of business, from start-ups and scale-ups right through to established global players.”
