Accenture plans expansion in Chicago: report

Gov. J.B. Pritzker is set to join Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Wednesday in the West Loop to announce consulting firm Accenture’s expansion in the city.

At an event set for 10:30 a.m. at 500 W. Madison St., lawmakers and business leaders are expected to announce that the company will give the building at that site its name, the Chicago Tribune reported Tuesday.

The business is expected to increase its space at the location, and the firm has plans to bring 6,200 local employees to the site, the Tribune reported, with a three-year goal to add 600 new jobs.
