What’s Going To Happen
Miami was able to pull out an overtime win over the Tigers way back at the end of December, but it’s been an inconsistent run the rest of the way. The same goes for a Clemson team that’s lost three of its last four games, but managed to slip past Florida State.
Miami is the far stronger rebounding team, but it’s what it can do on the free-throw line that’s going to be the difference.
Clemson is miserable on the line – hitting just 68% and not getting there enough. Miami leads the ACC making 76% of its tries, and that’s going to make just enough of a difference.
Clemson will stay alive on threes, but it’ll miss a few late opportunities as the Canes survive a fun early battle.

What’s Going To Happen
NC State was able to slip by Pitt 77-73 a week ago. It was more of a fight than it should’ve been mostly because the Wolfpack couldn’t hit anything from the outside.
This isn’t a great three-point shooting team, but it’s solid on the inside, it doesn’t turn the ball over all that much, and it can score in bunches.
Pitt might have been able to beat Wake Forest in the first round, but it doesn’t shoot consistently well enough from the field, and it doesn’t do enough from three to get back in the game after getting down early on.

What’s Going To Happen
Boston College is on an ugly run of five straight losses, including a 62-61 defeat to Notre Dame a few weeks ago.
The Irish have been playing well, mainly losing to some of the ACC’s stronger teams over the second half of the season. They got by Boston College on a last-second shot in a dead even game, but they have the style that should be able to get through an easier game this time around.
Notre Dame will pass the ball around too well, it’ll convert on enough transition points off of takeaways to make up for a few shooting dry spells, and BC will get hit hard on the boards.

What’s Going To Happen
This is the North Carolina we’ve been waiting for.
It took all season, and too many injuries, and too many heartbreaking losses, but now it’s on a run of four wins in the last five games including a dominant 78-56 win over Virginia Tech in the first round.
It was amazing from three, it owned the boards, and it played with confidence throughout. It did that a few weeks ago in a 92-79 win over Syracuse, too.
The Orange will get beaten on the boards by at least ten, the Tar Heel scoring runs will come from inside and out, and the momentum will continue.
Syracuse won’t be consistent enough from the field, and UNC will clean up every defensive rebound.
