Academy Museum To Host Exclusive Oscars Fan Experience In LA

96th Oscars Nominations in Beverly Hills

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with ABC and Amazon Fire TV, is set to launch an exclusive fan experience in honor of the 96th Oscars®. This unique event will be open to museum attendees, film enthusiasts, locals, and visitors alike, providing them with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

Guests will have the chance to engage with a special fan photo-op installation featuring life-size Oscar® statues displayed on an elevated platform. They will be able to strike a pose for a shareable video capturing their very own 'big Hollywood moment' using a wide-lens camera. As the evening sets in, integrated lighting will illuminate the space, creating a captivating ambiance for visitors to enjoy the installation even after sunset.

The activation is free to the public and will take place at The Walt Disney Company Piazza, located at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on 6067 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036. The installation will be open on Friday, March 8, from 10am to 10pm PT, and on Saturday, March 9, from 10am to 6pm PT.

In addition to the fan experience, the Academy Museum will host a grand evening celebration in honor of the 96th Oscars on Sunday, March 10, from 3 to 8pm. Attendees can indulge in hors d'oeuvres and tacos catered by Wolfgang Puck Catering, along with wine from Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon, the official wines of the Academy Museum. The event will offer a luxurious setting for guests to watch the Academy Awards and includes access to the fan experience installation.

General admission tickets for the Academy Museum can be purchased on their website, while tickets for Oscars Night at the Museum are available for purchase separately. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, with a membership of over 10,500 industry professionals, is dedicated to honoring cinematic achievements and preserving the history of film. Beyond the Oscars, the Academy hosts various film-related events, educational programs, exhibitions, and screenings throughout the year, engaging audiences worldwide in the art of filmmaking.
