AC Milan set for triple Chelsea transfer raid as Raphael Varane price tag revealed

Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Thursday, June 24.

Blues set for departures

AC Milan are set to make a move for three Chelsea players this summer transfer window, according to reports. Top of the list for the Milan giants is veteran French striker Olivier Giroud.

Despite Giroud's contract recently being extended by 12 months by Chelsea, the striker is available for transfer and the Blues would be willing to let him go this summer. AC Milan are believed to have agreed personal terms with the 34-year-old and all that is left is for the two clubs to agree a fee.

Milan are understood to be interested in two other Blues players, with a return to the San Siro in the offing for Tiemoue Bakayoko and an audacious attempt to seal a deal for Hakim Ziyech just one year after he moved to Stamford Bridge from Ajax.

The triple transfer swoop could net the Blues as much as £56million.

Chelsea's own Jadon Sancho

Thomas Tuchel may well have no interest in bringing Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge because he already has his own version of him at the club.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is a graduate of the Blues academy and the 20-year-old has a bright future ahead of him at Stamford Bridge.

Sancho and Hudson-Odoi share a number of attributes but the Blues man has yet to match Sancho's productivity in front of goal. However, he has faith from his manager to continue his fine progress and can repay this and save the Blues millions in transfer fees.

Raphael Varane price revealed

Real Madrid are resigned to losing star defender Raphael Varane this summer and are said to have put a price tag of £45m on the Frenchman.

Chelsea are believed to be monitoring the situation but for the moment Manchester United are the favourites to sign the 28-year-old, according to a report in The Sun.

With just one year remaining on his contract in Madrid, Los Blancos are determined not to lose the defender for nothing next summer. Varane is understood not to be considering a new contract so a deal for the defender should not be too difficult to complete once the asking price has been met.
