AC Milan are reportedly set for yet another raid on Chelsea this summer with the Italian giants plotting a move for youngster Valentino Livramento.
That is according to Goal who suggest that the Italian giants see the 18-year-old as a much cheaper alternative to current Blues’ centre-back Fikayo Tomori.
The English defender spent the second-half of last season on-loan at the San Siro and impressed enough for the Rossoneri to pursue a permanent deal.
An agreement is yet to be reached between the two clubs however and should that remain the case, Stefano Pioli’s men have Livramento in their sights.
However, they could face competition for his signature with a number of unnamed clubs apparently keen for either a loan or permanent deal for the London-born defender.
He appears to be highly-rated within the Stamford Bridge corridors though with the Blues apparently not keen to sign-off a deal for the 2020/21 academy Player of the Year.
Nevertheless, with just one year remaining on his current contract at the club, Chelsea might well have to sell sooner rather than later or risk losing the youngster on a free transfer.
Predominantly a right-back but capable of playing further forwards, Livramento’s path is currently blocked by fellow academy graduate Reece James, as well as club stalwart Cesar Azpilicueta.
The youngster was named on the bench for two first-team matches last season including the victory against Manchester City and the defeat at the hands of Arsenal in the closing weeks of the campaign.
