'Absurd' - What Millwall made of Bristol City after victory at Ashton Gate

Millwall fans were united in praise for manager Gary Rowett after last night's victory over Bristol City.

The Lions made it six games without defeat courtesy of the 2-1 win over the Robins, an impressive turnaround under Rowett after they seemed set for a relegation battle with Neil Harris.

Post-match on social media, Millwall fans were toasting their win over City and claimed it was fully deserved.

Martyn Lawrence: What a result and what a difference a manager with a tactical knowhow makes. Come on you Lions!

Michael Lock: That is the best football I have seen Millwall play in the first half. Love it that the players are backing themselves, getting down, and having the balls to play there football. Awesome!

AWOL 27: Those last few minutes we was like Frank Bruno holding on against Oliver McCall. Would have been criminal had we drew that game. So impressed with Rowett and the transformation.

William Sarstard: Can't help thinking that under Harris we would have drawn or even lost that game.

Tommy Noyes: Another away win against Derby and I’m backing us to reach play-offs.

Jack Clarke: Bristol City fans saying we came to defend and park the bus - were they watching a different game? We were all over them in the first half. Also just seen their goal back, Bart arguably could have done a bit better but it’s a good strike, shouldn’t have that time at edge of box. I saw a few Bristol City fans on Twitter saying that they deserved the win, which with all due respect, apart from the last 15 mins, is an absolutely absurd opinion to have.

The Football Theorist: Millwall under Gary Rowett: WLWWDDDW. But, it’s not just the results, it’s the performances. Performances that actually deserved a couple more W’s.

Dan Houghton: Performance & tactical wise, it's an absolute pleasure to watch now. The whole transformation in such a small time scale is unbelievable. We can switch to plan B when needed and the players are understanding it. Long may it continue!

Merv Payne: It took us until Feb 2nd to reach 30 points last season. Best way to describe Milllwall under Gary Rowett is that we're now a 'glass half full' team again.

Ben Kellaway: We were excellent tonight. Throughly deserved the 3 points. The difference Gary Rowett has made is immense. Game plan was executed to perfection tonight.
