'Absolutely shambolic, bring back adidas!' - Chelsea fans fume over new 2019/20 Nike home shirt

It's fair to say that Chelsea's new home kit hasn't exactly gone down well with a large number of supporters.

The Blues are in the third year of their deal with Nike and they have this morning unveiled their brand new home shirt for the 2019/20 campaign.

Nike's latest effort is rather different with the sportswear giant using the club's Stamford Bridge home as inspiration for the bold design.

The Bridge is woven into the fabric of the kit and the jersey is covered in an all-over graphic that features imagery of the Matthew Harding Stand, the East and West Stands and the famous Shed End.

A red and white 'CFC' monogram features on the back of the collar, while Nike have decided to go with a stylish V-neck for their latest Chelsea home top.

The kit is completed by blue shorts and white socks that feature a red and blue trim midway up the calf.

Chelsea have tended to unveil their new home shirt in May in recent years and the kit will actually be worn on Sunday for the very first time against Watford.

While a small minority of fans are happy with the strip, a number of supporters have taken to Twitter to hit out at the new jersey.

Many have called for adidas to make a return, while even one so-called fan has claimed he will now not be supporting the team next season!

Here's the best reaction on Twitter...
