'Absolutely gutted': Enchanted Forest display cancelled amid Storm Amy

ORGANISERS of The Enchanted Forest have confirmed a show cancellation due to Storm Amy.

The annual event, which takes place in Faskally Wood, promises "kaleidoscopic outdoor experience" for all ages through lights and music.

According to the organisers, more than 800,000 visitors have come from all over the world to visit the forest over the last two decades.

However, due the forecasted high winds and in the interest of public safety, Saturday night's show has been cancelled.

LIVE: Storm Amy brings travel disruption with winds of 80mph

"We are sorry for any inconvenience caused to visitors by this decision but the safety of all our visitors and staff is of the utmost importance," organisers stated as up to 100mph winds were recorded across Ireland with the storm moving across Scotland today.

All visitors booked to attend tonight will receive communication direct from SEE Tickets within the next 24 hours to enable them to exchange their tickets to an available remaining date for 2025 or, in the instance that no dates are suitable, request a refund.

The added: "As a team we are absolutely gutted that we have had to cancel our incredible show tonight and we apologise for the inconvenience this causes you. We have worked all year to create a show that is so special and breathtaking that we really wanted you to experience it as planned. As a charitable trust the decision to cancel is not taken lightly.

"These are tough times for everyone, and we all need a bit of light and magic in our lives. Please, if you are able to attend another date in 2025, take us up on our offer to transfer your tickets within our 2025 dates because we’d love to see you, and for you to see the show. It’s too incredible to miss."

The team are yet to confirm if any future dates are cancelled but stated Sunday's show will go ahead as planned.
