Jurgen Klinsmann has backed Jose Mourinho to flourish at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spurs legend feels they have the right man in charge in the form of Mourinho, despite some mixed form under the coach since his appointment in November.
Klinsmann, whose last managerial role was a controversial 10-week stint at Hertha Berlin, praised Mourinho's experience.
But he also admitted that it could take time for Mourinho to get things right at Spurs.
"Jose is an absolutely exceptional coach," he told talkSPORT.
"Obviously he has his philosophy and his way of doing things but, with his experience and knowledge, and he's an amazing human as well, I just hope things will fall into place and they get the success they deserve.
"He's a character and it just takes a bit of time.
"There's obviously other teams as well that want to win the Premier League and get trophies but his experience and his drive and ambition will drive the whole team at the end of the day.
"That's why I hope sooner rather than later they win their first trophy."
Klinsmann scored 30 league goals across two separate stints at White Hart Lane.
