'Absolute class!' - Chelsea fans go nuts after what Timo Werner did for Germany against Spain

Chelsea fans have reacted after their striker Timo Werner scored a fantastic solo goal against Spain whilst on international duty with Germany.

The Blues’ new number 11 received the ball after some good work from Robin Gosens on the left-hand side, and then shifted it onto his right foot - taking on Pau Torres - before slotting it low past David De Gea.

It was a moment of class from Werner, who arrived at Stamford Bridge for around £45m from RB Leipzig in mid-June.

And here is how Chelsea fans react to Werner's on Twitter on Thursday night.

Werner has played just once for Frank Lampard’s team so far, and scored in their 1-1 pre-season draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chelsea will meet Brighton again for their first Premier League game of the season, next Monday, where Werner could make his competitive debut.

It’s an exciting time for Chelsea fans, with Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell all signed for the upcoming season - with the seemingly imminent arrival of Kai Havertz.

The excitement was clear to see as Werner scored Germany’s only goal in their 1-1 draw with Spain in the Nations League.
