Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici appears to be closing in on Tottenham’s fourth summer signing after news emerged that Spurs have agreed a fee for Metz midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
The Ligue 1 club’s President, Bernard Serin, confirmed over the weekend that the north London outfit were in advanced talks over a move for Sarr, and confirmed that a deal is expected to go through.
As per the Daily Mail, Serin said: "We are in advanced talks with Tottenham for Sarr, yes, but it is not done yet. The final fee will be higher than €10million (£8.6million)."
He is expected to sign with the club before returning to Metz on a season-long loan, as football.london understands.
Sarr is admired by many within Spurs and the deal is being likened to the one that brought Dele Alli to the club six years ago, loaning him back to ensure not only that Tottenham get one of the top young talents in Europe before competitors, but also to continue his development via regular first-team football in an environment he is comfortable in.
And in a fresh update from Sky Sports news, a £14.6million agreement has now been reached, and Spurs fans seem to be pretty excited about the transfer, as seen on Twitter.

Sky Sports' report adds that the midfielder will be present for Tottenham's Premier League clash with Watford at the weekend before heading back to France ahead of his return to Metz for the rest of the Ligue 1 season.
