Abraham Badru murder: Cops appeal for witnesses one year since personal trainer was shot dead in Hackney

Detectives investigating the murder of a personal trainer one year ago have issued an appeal to trace witnesses.

Abraham Badru, 26, was blasted in the chest with a shotgun near his home in Hackney as he retrieved a drink from the boot of his Mercedes.

Police believe one possible motive is mistaken identity, while another is a connection to one of his “several relationships”.

Detectives are trying to trace a man and woman seen separately in Ferncliff Road minutes before the murder, just after 11pm on March 25.

The woman was white and wearing a three-quarter-length puffer coat and the man, also white, was in shorts.

Officers also appealed to a person who called the incident room in June last year, whom they believe knew someone with crucial information.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police incident room on 020 8785 8099 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
