While the whole of the U.S. struggles with the economy which Donald Trump so thoroughly destroyed with his ill-advised tariff policy, the president has decided it’s prime time to launch his own wireless provider service along with his own “T1” Trump branded smartphone. However, it looks like the coverage map for his latest pathetic grift is a little out of date.
The map, which appeared on the Trump Mobile website, showed everywhere there was coverage available for the phones. However, a few eagle eyed individuals spotted something highly irregular about the map. The area which the president had renamed as the Gulf of America earlier this year was showing up under its old moniker: The Gulf of Mexico.

For those who have already forgotten, Trump changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America which is arguably the worst name change since Elon Musk changed Twitter to X.
Trump Mobile shows the correct name
If this were any other mobile network it wouldn’t be as funny, but seeing as it’s Trump, the very person that brought in the pointless name change, it’s kind of brilliant that his own mobile network refuses to use the lame name he picked for the Gulf of Mexico.
The coverage map has since been taken down and is no longer available to view on the official website. Whether this was because someone noticed they had accidentally used the correct name or it was some other reason it’s not clear. However, it is funny to think about Trump having a meltdown over the name and having the whole page shut down as a response.
But they couldn’t shut it down soon enough as many shared screenshots on X proving that the mistake was genuine. Many found the whole thing to be rather comical. One individual tagged the accounts for Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene and quipped “About time you accept reality.”

Donald Can’t do anything right
This is just another case of Trump and the people who work for him being wildly incompetent. Remember how big of a deal it was for Donald to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico? Now it seems like he and his cronies have completely forgotten about the name change. It wouldn’t be all that surprising, after all, Trump’s mind isn’t as sharp as it used to be (not that it was ever that sharp in the first place).

The whole mobile/wireless service provider grift seems like a desperate bid to trick Trump’s dumbest supporters into giving him their hard-earned cash. We’ve seen the president do this countless times in the past, remember the Trump bibles last year? The out of date coverage map is enough to prove that this is just another soon-to-be failed business venture for Trump.
