About PetsRadar: who we are, what we do and how to contact us

Petsradar crop.

We are PetsRadar and our mission is simple. We are dedicated to helping pet owners understand their pets better. Whether you have a cat, dog, rabbit or reptile, we’re here to give you expert-led advice on understanding your pet’s behavior, health, and help you find ways to boost their happiness too.

As pet owners, we know that looking after an animal can be one of the best things in life but it also comes with its challenges. That’s why, our expert team includes vets, behaviorists, pet nutritionists and trainers to help you cut through the noise and find everything you need to help understand what makes your pet tick.

We write advice on everything from what to do if your pet is struggling with reactivity to understanding why your cat’s eating habits have changed. We use real pets and their owners to test products so that you can be confident you’re spending your money on products that are really worth it.

We believe that raising a pet is something that should be done considerately which is why we’re proud to say that we will never feature physical punishment methods or items, such as shock collars in our articles. Instead, we feature positive reinforcement, advice for helping understand what affects your pet’s behavior, and sharing real owners’ experiences to empower you to get the most out of your time with your pet.

PetsRadar is brought to you by Future PLC, which also publishes LiveScience, Horse & Hound, TechRadar, T3, Tom’s Guide, Digital Camera, Woman & Home, Living etc, and many other popular titles.

OUR PR, REVIEWS AND ETHICS POLICY

Our reviews are independent and free from commercial considerations. We never take payment for reviews. We can return products on request.

Separate from our editorial content and process, we publish advertorial feature content that is clearly marked and tagged as 'sponsored'. We also run 'in association with' articles, which are independent editorial articles, created by writers employed by PetsRadar that have been funded through the support of a commercial partner.

HOW WE TEST PRODUCTS

With new products being released all the time, we are constantly testing pet products to see if they are worth your money. We select products independently and put them through vigorous testing with real pets and their owners. You’ll find details of the testing process for each specific product in our buying guides, however, we always take into account how safe a product is, which breeds a product is best suited for, and whether it’s good value for money.

Where we’ve tested food or nutritional products, we have also got a vet to weigh in on the quality of the ingredients and things you may want to consider.

Here’s more information about how we test products on PetsRadar.

AFFILIATE & ADVERTISING DISCLOSURE

We are committed to helping you find the best products and services for your needs and connecting you with trustworthy retailers where you can purchase them at competitive prices. Within our editorial content, we often provide links to products and services on retailer sites for which we can receive compensation – called an affiliate fee – if you click on those links or make purchases through them. That affiliate fee is paid to us by the retailer and does not directly affect the price you pay for the product or service.

Our expert editorial teams are independent. This means the products and services they select to appear in our articles are chosen based on their unbiased, expert judgement and relevance to the readers' needs and article content. Our editors do not consider retailers or commercial agreements when selecting products and services – the selection criteria are based solely on usefulness and value to our readers.

Our curated product widgets that you see in some of our articles are intended to help you find the best products and services, at competitive prices, at trusted retailers. Those widgets are powered by our own software, called Hawk, which displays the latest product and price information from thousands of retailers. We will always do our best to ensure that we display the most up-to-date information possible. On occasion, a retailer may have updated their prices, up or down, before the adverts displayed by Hawk are updated. Retailers may also add delivery or other costs to the purchase – please see the retailer's site for more information. The affiliate fees we receive help us to continue developing Hawk as well as helping to pay our teams and other website costs.

We also run advertising in various forms. Ads on our websites are designed in a way that makes them clearly identifiable as ads and distinguishable from our editorial articles.

From time to time, we also publish paid-for editorial content on the site. This content is labelled so you can see who has funded it and how it was created. We have a full guide to content funding on PetsRadar here. You can also see the full terms and conditions that apply to your use of our sites right here.
