KURAYOSHI, Tottori -- Figures from the popular animation "Evangelion" are being exhibited at the Enkei Gekijo Kurayoshi Figure Museum in Kurayoshi, Tottori Prefecture.

"Kaiyodo Evangelion Figure World" is being held until Sept. 2. Nearly 200 items are on display, including a model of Evangelion Unit-01, or "shogoki," measuring about 1.8 meters tall. There is also a diorama re-creating a scene from the animation in a box about 40 centimeters by 40 centimeters.

The items were produced by major figure maker Kaiyodo Co. in Kadoma, Osaka Prefecture.

"It's amazing how detailed the figures are," said a 57-year-old company employee from Yonago, Tottori Prefecture.

The exhibition is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission for the special Evangelion exhibition and the permanent exhibition is 1,200 yen for high school students or older, and 700 yen for elementary and junior high school students. The fee for just the special exhibition is 400 yen for all ages.

For more information, call the museum at (0858) 27-1200.
