Abilene Christian vs Kentucky: How to Watch NCAA Tournament Online, Live Stream, TV Channel, Start Time

The Kentucky Wildcats put their #2 seed up for debate against #15 Abilene Christian on Friday evening in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. If coach John Calipari has his troops well-drilled, there won’t be a single player taking this game lightly. And for Abilene Christian, hope rests upon being ignored by their historic foe in their first-ever Big Dance appearance.

#15 Abilene Christian

Wildcats will meet Wildcats on Thursday as Abilene Christian open their inaugural appearance in the NCAA Division I Tournament against eight-time national champions Kentucky. In their sixth season since moving to the Southland Conference, Abilene Christian has qualified for the last 64 and will look to capitalize upon a remarkable 27-6 run, which included a 77-60 hammering of New Orleans to lift the conference tournament trophy. Kentucky is No. 2 in the Midwest Region, but Abilene coach Joe Golding will hope, perhaps fruitlessly, that his team’s recent six-win hot streak gives them the confidence to compete.

#2 Kentucky

SEC blue bloods Kentucky have a habit of gaining late momentum in their challenges for the national throne, and they open their 2019 NCAA Tournament against Abilene Christian in Jacksonville on Thursday. The 27-6 Wildcats finished second to LSU in the SEC season but were much more saddened to exit the conference tournament in the semifinals, where they were edged by Tennessee 82-78. As is tradition, Kentucky has continuously improved all season, and might have argued for a #1 seed had they won the SEC tournament. Coach John Capilari would love to round off his 10th season in the program by bringing a second NCAA championship to Lexington.
