Aberfoyle man allegedly smeared excrement on police cell wall

An Aberfoyle man is accused of smearing excrement on a police cell wall.

Daniel Gait, of Trossachs Road, is alleged to have culpably or recklessly smeared the excrement on the Falkirk Police office wall on September 14 this year, exposing custody staff to potential harm.

The 33-year-old is further accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting and swearing at Limecraig Avenue in the village, and resisting and obstructing two police officers there by struggling violently, lashing out with his arms, tensing his arms, and seizing hold of a bannister in an effort to avoid being handcuffed, both on September 14.

When the case called at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Sheriff Keith O’Mahony continued the matter without plea until January 14 for further discussion and resolution.
