Aberdeen vs Hearts Premiership opener moved for Dons' Europa League qualifier

SPFL chiefs have moved the Aberdeen 's Premiership opener against Hearts back 24 hours following the Dons' progress in the Europa League qualifiers.

The Dons were due to raise the curtain on their domestic season at home to the Jambos on Saturday, August 3.

But it will now be played on Sunday, August 4, with a 3pm kick off.

Derek McInnes ' side face Georgians Chikhura Sachkere in the Europa League second qualifying round after beating RoPS Rovaniemi 4-2 on aggregate.

The first leg in Georgia takes place on Thursday, July 25, while the return leg at Pittodrie comes seven days later on Thursday, August 1.

Tickets for the home tie are now on sale with McInnes hoping for a bumper crowd to roar his side on into the third round.
