Aberdeen transfer round-up as Christian Ramirez accepts wage cut to seal move and Mikey Devlin inks new deal

Mikey Devlin has put pen to paper on a short-term deal at Aberdeen.

Dons manager Stephen Glass has handed the Scotland international a contract until January to prove his fitness.

There is a clause in the deal that can see it be extended by the club for the season.

Devlin is now back to full fitness after returning from an ankle ligament injury.

It has kept him out this year and the centre half has still to play under Glass.

The 27-year-old will be hoping for a bit of luck as he looks to show he can be one of Aberdeen’s main defenders again.

He will battle it out with new signing Declan Gallagher, Andrew Considine and Ross McCrorie is also being earmarked for a central defensive berth.

Aberdeen are also in talks with Clark Robertson but he looks unlikely to return Polish side Slask Wroclaw, Portsmouth and Hapoel Jerusalem all interested.

Glass will also bring in right-back Jack Gurr on-loan from Atlanta United.

He should be with the squad when they return for pre-season training later this month.

Scott Brown and Jay Emmanuel Thomas have also agreed pre-contracts and the Dons are working hard to try and seal a deal for US international Christian Ramirez from Houston Dynamo.

Aberdeen are in negotiations with Major League Soccer and any deal would be subject to a work permit being issued.

Ramirez is willing to take a major hit on his wages to move to Scotland.
