Aberdeen star riffs on Alfredo Morelos woe as Rangers star clamped in loaded social media gloat

Joyous Aberdeen star Shayden Morris appeared to riff on Alfredo Morelos' ire as he saluted his side's signature win at Pittodrie.

The injured Dons loan star couldn't resist the chance to get in on the act as he used four pipe down emojis to reply to Mattie Pollock's post saluting the win over their great rivals. Pollock enjoyed a running battle with the Colombian – who then gestured at the Watford loanee that many have interpreted as Morelos regarding his rival as small.

And the incident in the second half of the 2-0 Aberdeen win certainly wasn't missed within the dressing room as Morelos' action was used as ammo amid the celebrations. The looming Rangers free agent was way below his best as he was off target on several occasions and was caught napping for Liam Scales' opener for Barry Robson's side.

Morelos' below–par efforts were seized upon by Aberdeen legend Willie Miller who revealed he would of been cracking up with the Ibrox side's all-time European top goalscorer over his display in the Granite City.

Miller, in a scathing verdict, said: "As for Alfredo Morelos, I'm sorry. If I had anything to do with him he wouldn't last until the end of the season. If I was a teammate of his I couldn't take that, I just couldn't take that. He played a big part in the first goal as well, I said that at the time.

"The ball is played up to him and he makes a timid effort to shield the ball from Liam Scales, he is strong and goes past him. If you have a sharp striker that the game means something for him, then he doesn't allow that to happen. I'm sorry, but I just thought throughout the game he was non-existent.

"I just couldn't play with someone like that. At the very least you are asking for effort. He just didn't give that. He looks as though he isn't interested to be perfectly honest."
