Aberdeen ace Andy Considine admits he can't wait to work with Scotland team-mate Declan Gallagher at club level.
The defender is delighted to see his fellow stopper make the move to the Granite City when his contract at Motherwell expires at the end of June, following a pre-contract agreement announced earlier this month.
The duo have played alongside each other at national level during Scotland's qualification for this summer's Covid-delayed European Championships.
And veteran Don Considine is looking forward to the current Motherwell skipper - who grew up in Blantyre - playing a vital role in Stephen Glass' side at Pittodrie next season.
He said: “I’ve been lucky enough to play alongside Declan with Scotland, so I know what he’s all about and I’m delighted he’s on board.
“He’s a real leader.
"He is vocal, strong, good in the air and good on the ball.
“It’s a brilliant addition and I am excited to have Declan alongside me.”
Gallagher and Considine will be hoping to make the cut for Steve Clarke's 26-man Euro squad, which is announced on Wednesday.
Yesterday, Gallagher was an unused substitute as Motherwell finished their campaign with a 2-1 defeat at home to Ross County, which saw them slip to an eighth place finish in the Scottish Premiership.
