Aberdeen contract offer could be a blow for Accies

Hamilton Accies could be dealt a blow with news that Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass reportedly wants to keep striker Bruce Anderson at Pittodrie.

The 22-year-old was farmed out to New Douglas Park in loan in the January window and was an instant hit, with his contract due to expire in the summer.

With Derek McInnes parting ways with Aberdeen, there was uncertainty over where Anderson's future lay.

However, the Daily Record reports that Glass is eager to open talks over an extension, particularly as Anderson would be the only experienced striker the Dons boss would have on his books for the new campaign, with loan deals for Flo Kamberi, Callum Hendry and Fraseer Hornby all set to come to an end.

Should Anderson decide to move on, Aberdeen would be entitled to compensation.

There are rumours, too, that Glass is keen to bring Motherwell captain Declan Gallagher to Pittodrie as he builds his squad for next season.
