Aberdeen eight available for Hibs clash as Pittodrie stars discover SFA fate

The 'Aberdeen eight' will be available for Sunday's Easter Road clash against Hibs.

Sam Cosgrove, Scott McKenna, Craig Bryson, Jonny Hayes, Bruce Anderson, Dylan McGeouch, Michael Devlin and Matty Kennedy were all hit with a notice of complaint from the SFA after they visited a pub on the opening weekend of the Premiership season, breaching corornavirus protocols.

Two tested positive for Covid-19 with the other six forced into isolation.

But the Dons will have them available for selection for their Premiership encounter with Jack Ross' men as they were given a three-match suspended ban.

The punishment will only take effect if the players breach Rules 24 and/or 71 before February 28 2021.

Derek McInnes's side lost to Rangers on the opening day of the season, but bounced back with wins against St Johnstone and Livingston.

Hibs are joint top of the table after a blistering start to the campaign with four wins and a draw after five games.
