Abe gives binoculars to Xi

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented a set of binoculars to Chinese President Xi Jinping when they held a summit meeting in Beijing on Friday, it has been learned.

Xi is known to be an enthusiastic soccer fan, and Abe meant for him to use the binoculars while watching matches, according to sources.

Abe often gives practical gifts to foreign heads of state. He once gave a driver to U.S. President Donald Trump, who likes playing golf.
