Christopher Beesley - Demarai Gray
October started brightly for Everton with an encouraging display to earn a 1-1 draw at Manchester United in a match they could have ultimately secured a rare win at Old Trafford from but back-to-back home defeats obviously saw things go downhill fast after the international break.
Despite these setbacks, one player who remained fairly consistent in his levels of performance was Demarai Gray.
A potent weapon on the break against United, his intelligent running and passing range ensured Manchester United’s defence could never switch off.

Gray also looked dangerous when he was able to get crosses in against both West Ham and Watford, even if those moments were all too fleeting.
Sam Carroll - Demarai Gray
Who else? The Everton winger has provided bright sparks of solace in a difficult month for Everton.
For £1.7m he has proven a snip and will be crucial to any top-half hopes this term.
Connor O'Neill - Abdoulaye Doucoure
After a promising start to the month, October couldn't have ended any worse for the Blues after the defeat to Watford.
Abdoulaye Doucoure may have missed the game against the Hornets, but because of that game he is my Everton Player of the Month.
The 28-year-old has been a pivotal part of Rafa Benitez’s side this season, scoring two and getting four assists in eight Premier League matches.
And his absence against Claudio Ranieri’s side further underlined just how important he is to the Blues and just how good he has been so far this season.
He may be facing a spell on the sidelines with a stress response in his foot, but there is no doubting Doucoure deserves to be named Player of the Month for October.
