Abdoulaye Doucoure: AS Monaco join Everton in transfer race for Watford midfielder

AS Monaco are the latest club to express an interest in Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The France international is ready to leave Vicarage Road this summer following Watford’s relegation to the Championship.

Interest in Doucoure is high and Everton have already failed with a bid for him, while Fulham and Wolves are tracking him too.

Watford are ready to let the 27-year-old leave this summer, but are thought to want over £20m before sanctioning a sale.

Given the level of interest in Doucoure they should achieve that and Monaco are now the latest club to join the race for him.

The Ligue 1 side want to add a new central midfielder to their squad this summer and have set their sights on Doucoure.

The midfielder has previously expressed a preference to carry on playing in the Premier League, but Monaco hope they can entice him back to France instead.
