Sparta Rotterdam claim there is a long list of admirers of reported Rangers target Abdou Harroui.
But the Dutch side insist they have yet to receive a firm offer for the Holland Under-21 international.
Steven Gerrard's side were said to have scouted the Dutch winger during this summer’s Under-21 European Championships.
Galatasaray, Lille and English Premier League duo Leeds United and Brighton have also been linked with the 23-year-old goalscoring star.
With just a year left of his contract, Sparta are set to allow the highly-rated wide man to leave this summer for a cut-price £2 million fee after an excellent season in the Eredivisie.

However, Sparta Rotterdam's technical director, Henk van Stee, has revealed they are still waiting for a club to make an official bid for Harroui.
He said: "Of course I do get lots of calls from intermediaries who say they are acting on behalf of clubs, but that is different from actual concrete interest.
"There is no offer yet. In fact, so far no club has come forward for Harroui."
Harroui played in all five games this summer at the European Under 21s Finals, where the Dutch reached the semi-finals before losing to Germany and made two assists.
