ABC South Australia: Your home on state election night

The Xenophon factor means people all over Australia are tuning into South Australia's election.

South Australia is in full swing campaign mode with the election promising to be a complex three-way contest between Labor Premier Jay Weatherill, Liberal Opposition Leader Steven Marshall and SA Best's Nick Xenophon.

There are 47 seats in South Australia's House of Assembly, so any party that secures 24 seats forms government.

Here's how you can follow the election as it happens on the ABC.

ABC TV

Saturday, March 17

  • From 6:00pm the ABC will be providing comprehensive coverage on ABC TV and the ABC NEWS channel
  • Annabel Crabb, Nick Harmsen and Antony Green will host ABC TV with studio interviews by David Bevan
  • The ABC television election night panel includes Vickie Chapman (LIB), Kyam Maher (ALP), Michael Atkinson (ALP), Rob Lucas (LIB), Mark Butler (ALP), Simon Birmingham (LIB) and Rebekha Sharkie (NXT)

ABC Radio

Friday, March 16

  • AM will do an outside broadcast in the city

Saturday, March 17

  • From 6:00pm ABC Radio Adelaide will simulcast SA Votes television coverage from 6:00pm
  • ABC Adelaide will also be out and about getting your reactions, plus you will have the opportunity to interact with Ali Clarke and Jules Schiller on Facebook

Sunday, March 18

  • AM will have a special wrap of the results at 8:00am
  • David Bevan will wrap up the election on ABC Radio Adelaide from 5:00pm

ABC Online

In the lead-up to the election stories about the latest policy announcements, politics and more will be posted to the ABC website, and ABC Adelaide's Facebook and Twitter pages
