ABC Renews Hit Drama 911 For 2024-25 Season

ABC renews '911' for the 2024-25 season, its second on the network.

ABC has officially renewed the popular drama series '911' for the upcoming 2024-25 season, marking its second season on ABC and eighth overall. The show, produced by Disney's 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television, and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision, made the move to ABC from Fox this season.

The renewal announcement comes as '911' is on the brink of airing its milestone 100th episode this week. The series has been a consistent performer, previously holding the title of Fox's top-rated drama and now continuing its success on ABC.

During its current seventh season, '911' has been drawing in an average of 5.29 million same-day viewers, showing an increase from the previous season's numbers. The season premiere on March 14 saw a significant boost in viewership, more than doubling its initial audience with a week of streaming and delayed viewing, reaching 11.76 million viewers.

ABC has highlighted that '911' stands out as the network's most-watched current series across all platforms this season, solidifying its place as a fan favorite.

While '911' thrives on ABC, its spinoff series '911: Lone Star' remains a part of the Fox lineup, with its fifth season scheduled for 2024-25. The ensemble cast of '911' includes Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Kenneth Choi, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman, and Gavin McHugh.

The series was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, with Minear serving as the showrunner. The talented team of executive producers includes Bassett, Krause, John J. Gray, Brad Buecker, Kristen Reidel, Juan Carlos Coto, and Lyndsey Beaulieu.

ABC's renewal of '911' adds to its lineup for the 2024-25 season, joining the acclaimed comedy 'Abbott Elementary.' Additionally, the network has greenlit two new series: 'Dr. Odyssey,' produced by Ryan Murphy and starring Joshua Jackson, and 'High Potential,' a project carried over from the previous development cycle.
