From mid-January ABC Radio Melbourne will welcome a new weekend line-up featuring former Masterchef stars Matt Preston and Alice Zaslavsky, as well as RN presenter Lisa Leong.
Cook and writer Ms Zaslavsky will host Saturday breakfast from 6:00am–8:00am, followed by journalist and TV personality Mr Preston broadcasting from 8.30am until noon.
Ms Leong will broadcast from 10am–noon on Sundays, while continuing to present This Working Life on RN.
ABC Radio Manager Dina Rosendorff said the new shows will connect audiences with the best of Melbourne.
"We'll be bringing depth, distinctiveness and a healthy dose of humour to listening across the weekend," she said.
The new weekend line-up comes after This Weekend Life presenter Libbi Gorr announced she would be leaving the ABC after nearly a decade on air.
Mr Preston said he will bring listeners a great mix of music, art, food and sport.
"I've been flirting with radio for the past three years and I freaking love it," Mr Preston said.
He will be joined by ABC Sport reporter Catherine Murphy and science commentator Dr Vyom Sharma on a regular basis.
Ms Zaslavsky, commonly known as 'Alice in Frames', said she is looking forward to "easing Melburnians into their weekend like a first cuppa propped up in bed".
"There'll be inspiring guests, budget-friendly ideas for getting out and about, and an open invitation to be part of the conversation always," she said.
New Sunday morning presenter Lisa Leong hopes people will feel at home listening to her program.
