NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin wasn’t expecting the Boston Celtics to trade veteran point guard Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies any more than the rest of us before word of the deal bringing Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis to Boston broke. The Flower Mound native’s trade was devastating for Chin and many fans of the team.
In a recent podcast put together by the folks at the CLNS Media “First to the Floor” podcast, they tipped a hat to the Celtics media including Chin, the NBC Sports Boston reporter who acknowledged she will miss his interviews and his positive impact on and off the court.
In the talk, Chin recalls the changes she has witnessed in the Celtics roster over the years and acknowledges Marcus Smart as a constant presence.
