Abbey Clancy's 'psycho' method of getting the engagement ring she wanted

Abbey Clancy left glaring hints for her husband regarding what kind of engagement ring she wanted.

Her ring was the topic of conversation on The Therapy Crouch, a podcast she hosts alongside her husband, Peter Crouch. The couple had a cheeky back and forth with each other, teasing how the ring came to be, but the former Liverpool FC star had the last laugh by revealing his partner's "psycho" behaviour.

After asking if she was happy with her ring, Peter admitted it was obvious what needed to be done to make the ring perfect. He said: "I'd already bought the ring and I remember sorting it but it took me ages and you dropped a few hints over the course of our courting that you wanted like a pear-shaped diamond. And I think you'd actually drawn it once, you psycho."

Peter lept forward in laughter, forcing Abbey to take over the conversation and explain herself. She said: "I must have just been doodling and you came over like, 'What are you doodling there?' and I was like, 'Rings'."

She defended the doodles by claiming she wouldn't blatantly draw the ring she wanted but Peter interjected and said: "You literally drew a ring and handed it to me and said that's the one you wanted."

Abbey added: "Well you obviously didn't do it to scale." The ring met Abbey's standards as she tied the knot with Crouch in a lavish ceremony back in 2011.

They flew off to the Maldives in January to renew their vows for their ten-year anniversary after their original plans were scrapped by the pandemic and travel restrictions.
