Abbey Clancy reveals Peter Crouch's 'ultimatum' when she brought a puppy home

Abbey Clancy admits hubby Peter Crouch was less than impressed when she brought a Labrador puppy home.

The model, 35, revealed the former footballer, 40, threatened to leave her over the dog - albeit in a jokey way.

The blonde beauty surprised her other half with the new addition in March last year, but she has revealed that the bundle of fluff didn't go down too well in the beginning.

Speaking to Rochelle Humes on her My Little Coco podcast, Abbey said: "We got a puppy last March. Pete was like: 'If you literally bring one more living thing into this house, I'm gonna leave'."

Peter argued back that his wife told him that he would love the dog in the end and revealed he told her: "But I don't need to love another thing - there's loads of love in the house. Don't give me another thing to love!"

Thankfully for Abbey - and the dog who they've named Jeffrey - the former England man came around to the idea in the end.

She even joked during the chat for Jeffrey not to listen to Peter's comments.

The Scouse model went on to admit that it was a life-long dream of her to grow up surrounded by animals and said: "I didn't have any pets growing up, so I'm sort of living all my childhood pet wishes through my kids - it's not even for them, it's for me.'

"I was even looking at teacup goats the other day."

Peter was quick to shoot down Abbey in hilarious fashion by saying he won't be feeding any goats.

As well as the animals, Abbey and Peter have four kids together; Sophia, 10, Liberty, six, Johnny, three, and Jack, two.

Peter said that much like the animals, the couple won't be adding any more children to their household, joking that it was already a "ridiculous decision" to have four.

Abbey previously opened up about how their youngest child was a "gift from God" who was conceived at a time when she hated her husband.

She told Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe's Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast that she was "scared" of having a fourth child, especially as tension was already building between the couple.

She said: "We hated each other at that point as well so I don't even know how I got pregnant to be quite honest."
