Abbey Clancy once got a football in the FACE as Peter Crouch enjoyed garden kickabout

Abbey Clancy once took a hit from a football right in the face while husband Peter Crouch was having a kickabout with his mates in the garden.

The stunning supermodel was delivering some drinks to her husband and his friends when it all went horribly wrong.

Peter, 38, said on his BBC Radio 5 Live show That Peter Crouch Podcast: "We were chipping a ball across the garden. We were passing it around and Abbey came out with a tray of drinks. A friend of a friend has curled it and I've gone, 'Oh, no!'

"He's curled one straight into the host's face. She went down and everyone just looked the other way. I pretended I hadn't seen it.

"I felt sorry for the lad and obviously Ab as well. Thank God Ab was fine. It clipped her nose. It was bad."

Peter Crouch confesses to drunkenly passing out on wedding night to Abbey Clancy

Peter has a full size goal in the garden of his £4.5 million Cheshire home, that he shares with Abbey, who is expecting their fourth child.

The Burnley striker added: "A lot of big stuff goes on. We had a volleyball game once. It got intense and I had to drive the car round the side of the house and put the full beams on. We played until 1am."

Peter has also confessed on his podcast that he was so drunk on his wedding night that he "passed out" as soon as he got back to the bridal suite with new wife Abbey.

Peter Crouch considering naming his fourth child after favourite curry house

After partying the day away following their lavish nuptials at the luxury Stapleford Park Country House Hotel and Sporting Estate in Leicestershire on June 30, 2011, Peter unfortunately dozed off.

His confession came after a fan wrote in to tell Peter he got married at the same venue, and that his wedding night performance was affected by his mates winding him up about Crouchy 'doing the deed' in the same bed he was about it.

But Peter reassured him his performance wasn't much to live up to.
