Abbey Clancy grills Peter Crouch over 'disgusting' Champions League comparison

Abbey Clancy questioned her footballer husband after he reportedly said that being part of the Champions League final was better than his kids' births.

The celebrity couple share four kids together, but Abbey pulled her other half, Peter Crouch, up on comments that he had allegedly made about welcoming them to the world. Talking on their new podcast, The Therapy Crouch, Abbey grilled the former LFC player on what he had said.

Recalling what she had read, Abbey said: "Having children doesn't even come close to the feeling you get when playing football. I'm actually going to try and find this on my phone now because it was actually disgusting."

The mum-of-four, 37, went sleuthing on her mobile before pulling the article in question up. While she was busy looking, Peter, 42, said: "Well you know this is something that we come across I think when you are potentially in the public eye. Stories and words can be misconstrued." He laughed before adding: "Hopefully."

Abbey said: "Ok I've got it. Peter Crouch said 'getting to the Champions League final was better than the birth of his kids'. Three days ago you said this."

Peter seemed lost in thought before he replied: "Yeah but I obviously said it a while ago" Abbey hit back as she said: "So you did say it?" Her husband replied: "Well... loosely."

Abbey continued to read the article as she said that Peter only played as a sub for LFC in the all important match. She said: "You weren't even a real player, you weren't even involved! So how can you even say that?"

But Peter defended himself as he said: "I was Liverpool's top goal scorer on the run up to that final, level with Kaka. If I'd have played in the final we might have won it and I might have become top goal scorer. Kaka wouldn't have existed."

Abbey was uninterested in his reason as she said: "But you didn't and you didn't play. So there you go."
