Abbey Clancy 'cried inconsolably' over not having 20p Home Bargains Goblin Pie

Abbey Clancy shared a tale of a time when she cried over a cheap pie.

Speaking to her husband, Peter Crouch, on their new podcast 'The Therapy Crouch', the model admitted she had a craving for "cheap meat". The need for the unusual food came from a meal she enjoyed as a child growing up in Liverpool.

Footballer hubby Peter asked her if she wanted to tell everyone about the "Goblin Pie incident". Abbey, 37, said: "I just wanted to eat cheap meat."

She went on to offer an explanation as she said: "So in Liverpool, when I was little I used to get these things called Goblin Pies from Home and Bargains and they're about 20p. I needed one so bad.

"So we drove round about 14 shops one day and these Goblin Pies were nowhere to be found to the point where we did research to the factory."

Peter added he rang the company who made the pies and was told they had been discontinued. He said: "They don't make them any more because the packaging costs more than the product."

They both burst out laughing before Abbey said: "So I think I cried for about two days." Peter said: "She was inconsolable about it."

Abbey said: "I could taste it in my mouth. I just needed this Goblin Pie. So then I went on to the £1 shepherd's pie instead."
